We have recently updated, adapted and customised our hand crafted billet aluminium R8 inspired shiftgate. This will fit to all 6 speed manual MK1 TT's. More details available on the fitting when you click on the actual product on the website. Just use the search facility top right of this page and enter shiftgate to locate it.

The shiftgate is now hewn from a single piece of aluminium, whereas previously it had a separate spacer ring, and one of the major improvements is that it now has a domed face similar to the Audi R8 version; another improvement is the countersunk mounting holes which allow the longer bolts (supplied) to sit flush with the top of the face of the shiftgate.

You will notice in the video that the shiftgate moves slightly when changing gear, this is purposeful and achieved by simply not tightening the bolts fully, this subsequently gives you a little bit more flexibility when driving and protects the shiftgate. You won't notice this when driving and it does not effect the looks of it at all.
