Product Description
This is a custom made, hand built, R8 inspired, high quality upgrade for all owners of the MK1 TT 6 speed manual coupe or roadster.
It can be fitted in approximately 20 minutes and replaces the rubber gaiter (which can be sold on for £15-£20) and utilises the original aluminium ring for a more OEM look.
If you would like more pictures or info please email us on sales@vagmeistter.com, or call us on 07814 365147
Included in the kit you will receive:
1) 8 elongated bolts in stainless steel.
2) Billet aluminium domed faced shiftgate
3) Custom made leather gaiter, which fits to the original 8 holes and completely protects the gearshift mechanics.
It is suitable for cars fitted with the leather/aluminium gearknob (you just unscrew the gearknob, remove the seperate shaft, fit the kit and screw the gearknob back on) for those with the 1 piece aluminium gearknob you simply remove the gearknob and hacksaw off the bottom section where it curves in (5 minute job)
It will also fit with any gearknob where you have to attach it with grubscrews or similar (allowing you to choose exactly where you fit it)
This adds to the driving experience as you get the click/clack noise as you change gear (more or less dependent upon your gearchange) it also looks as though it should always have been there.
